Patchwork Bags

A couple weeks ago I was looking for a bag pattern for a bag for my daughter and her lab top. That is when I cam across the Dot Dot Dash Bag by Sew Sweetness. I had purchased a interesting piece of fabric months ago in Pacific Grove and it was just perfect.
The bag has multiple zipper pockets. Because I liked it that much I made one for me too. Of course I didn't have another equally interesting piece of fabric and had to piece it.
I used a charm pack. Layer two 5" pieces of fabric, sew all around and then slice them like an X. I used the Bloc Loc squares to make perfect triangle-squares. First is a picture of both beauties.

This is the one I made for myself. That one, unlike the pattern has no curved zipper pockets, but the pockets on the zipper pocket side are all different sizes.
I will love taking the new bag out tomorrow...
