The idea came from Alex Anderson, but the big center piece of fabric though very cute owls just looked to bare, so I sketched a owl and used the idea of giving the fabric texture using embroidery stitches that come with the machine. The light green fabric got additional wavy dark green scallops and I think it gives the owl some very nice feathers. I then turned the edges of all pieces to prevent the embroidery from unraveling.
